Lucky Trinket

What is a Lucky Trinket?
A Lucky Trinket is a special item that instantly turns you and another Trainer into Lucky Friends, as long as you meet the required Friendship level. (Requirement: Great Friends or higher)

Once you become Lucky Friends, your next Pokémon trade with that Trainer will be a Lucky Trade.
Pokémon obtained through a Lucky Trade become Lucky Pokémon, which provide two major benefits:
- 50% reduced Stardust cost when powering up.
- Guaranteed IV floor of 12/12/12, giving the Pokémon significantly better minimum stats.
How to Get a Lucky Trinket

Lucky Trinkets are not normally available through regular gameplay. They are typically offered as part of paid content, such as the GO Pass Deluxe.
However, there have been exceptions. During Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Global, players could obtain a Lucky Trinket for free by reaching Rank 100 in the GO Pass.
How to Use a Lucky Trinket

Lucky Trinkets have an expiration date. After obtaining one, you must use it before it expires, or it will be removed from your Item Bag.
To use a Lucky Trinket:
- Select a Trainer who is at least Great Friends with you.
- Use the Lucky Trinket.
- Both Trainers immediately become Lucky Friends.
The Lucky Friends status remains active until you complete your next Lucky Trade.
Lucky Trinkets and Remote Trades
Lucky Trinkets can also be used with Trainers who are eligible for remote trading, such as Forever Friends, when remote trading is available.
However, keep in mind that remote trading events are relatively rare, while Lucky Trinkets have an expiration date. If you plan to save one for a future remote trade event, be careful not to let it expire before you can use it.
