Recommended Pokémon
August’s Spotlight Hours will follow the schedule above.
Focus on catching Delibird, Magikarp (for Mega Gyarados), and Mankey, which evolves into Annihilape, one of the strongest Pokémon for Trainer Battles.
Important:
Delibird normally awards
500 Stardust per catch. During its Spotlight Hour, the 2× Catch Stardust bonus increases this to 1,000 Stardust per catch. To maximize your Stardust gains, use
Incense,
Origin Forme Palkia’s Spacial Rend, and a
Star Piece (1.5× Stardust) while catching as many Delibird as possible.
How to Maximize the Bonuses
2× Transfer Candy
This bonus is one of the best opportunities to clear your storage.
Save up Legendary, Mythical, and other rare Pokémon beforehand, then transfer them during the event to maximize Candy gains.
2× Evolution XP
If you are not interested in the featured Pokémon, use a Lucky Egg and evolve as many Pokémon as possible to gain a large amount of XP and level up quickly.
2× Catch XP
Activate a Lucky Egg and focus on catching as many Pokémon as possible during the hour to maximize your XP gains.
2× Catch Stardust
Use a Star Piece to significantly increase your Stardust income.
This bonus is especially valuable for players building teams for raids and PvP.
2× Catch Candy
This bonus is perfect for farming Candy for Pokémon such as Meltan, Gimmighoul, and Scatterbug.
If the featured Pokémon is not useful to you, consider hunting desired Pokémon at nests or participating in raids during the bonus period.
