Update (July 18, 2026): Following the investigation into the raid issues that occurred on Sunday during GO Fest 2026, it was determined that the impact was more widespread than initially expected. As a result, the compensation event has been expanded from select regions, including Asia-Pacific, to players worldwide. In addition, the number of free Raid Passes available during the event has been increased from 9 to 12 per day.

As compensation for the raid issues that affected some regions during Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Global, Trainers around the world will be able to participate in a special Raid event on July 26, from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time.

During GO Fest 2026, some Trainers encountered raid-related issues under certain conditions, accompanied by error codes. As a result, Team GO Rocket encounters were temporarily disabled before being restored, and Niantic has now announced a compensation Raid Event for players affected by the raid issues.

During the Super Mega Raid, Mega Mewtwo Y uses a total of 10 shields, while its Attack is doubled and its Defense is quadrupled.
Each player can break one shield by bringing a Mega-Evolved Pokémon, so it is recommended to challenge the raid with at least 10 players.
Important: Primal Reversion Pokémon cannot break Mega Mewtwo Y’s shields, so be sure to use Mega-Evolved Pokémon instead.
