PokéXciting Event Overview
The event celebrates the 30th anniversary of Pokémon and will take place in selected cities across the Asia-Pacific region.
- PokéXciting Pikachu will make its Pokémon GO debut. Pikachu will wear a different-colored wig depending on the host country.
- PokéXciting Pikachu can appear in the wild at the event locations or as a reward from Stamp Rallies.
- Event Pokémon will appear in the wild, from Lure Modules, and from Incense at the event locations.
- Gigantamax Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise will appear in Gigantamax Battles.
- Each host city will have its own Stamp Rally, with location-background PokéXciting Pikachu available as a reward.
- Additional bonuses include 5 GO Snapshot surprises per day and bonus Team GO Rocket balloons appearing every hour.
PokéXciting Event Locations and Dates
The PokéXciting celebrations will be held over two days in selected cities across the Asia-Pacific region.

New Pokémon: PokéXciting Pikachu
The highlight of the event is the debut of PokéXciting Pikachu.
- PokéXciting Pikachu will wear a different-colored wig depending on the host country.
- It can be encountered in the wild at the event location or obtained through the Stamp Rally.
- PokéXciting Pikachu will continue to appear at the host locations for one month after the event ends.
- If you’re a Pikachu costume collector, this event may be particularly valuable because each country features a different variation.
Wild, Lure Module & Incense Encounters
Different Pokémon will appear depending on whether you encounter them in the wild, through Lure Modules, or with Incense.
The Pokémon available through these methods are largely the same across all locations. The main regional differences are the color of PokéXciting Pikachu and the Unown forms available from Incense.

All Pokémon, including Unown, may appear as Shiny Pokémon if you’re lucky.
Gigantamax Battles
During the event, Trainers visiting the host locations will be able to participate in Gigantamax Battles featuring: Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise
Among these, Gigantamax Charizard is particularly noteworthy. Based on unofficial Pokémon GO statistics, it has been one of the most popular Gigantamax Pokémon.
If you’re already planning a trip to one of the participating countries, the PokéXciting event could be a good opportunity to combine travel with Pokémon GO gameplay.
