Master League Overview
The Master League is PvP format, with no CP restrictions on participating Pokémon.
Since there is no CP limit in the Master League, Master League battles are heavily dominated by Legendary Pokémon, Mythical Pokémon, and pseudo-Legendary Pokémon.
And Pokémon powered up to Level 50 or Level 51 (with the Best Buddy boost) are essentially required to compete effectively in the Master League.
Because all Pokémon battle at their maximum level, IVs play a much larger role than other leagues.
For this reason, it is highly recommended to invest in Pokémon with IVs as close to 100% as possible.
Also having 15 Attack IV is especially important, as it can secure Charge Move Priority (CMP) in mirror matches.
Tip: If the cost of building Master League Pokémon is too high, consider trading with friends to obtain Lucky Pokémon.
The older the Pokémon involved in the trade, the higher the chance of receiving a Lucky Pokémon, which can significantly reduce Stardust costs.

Functional Hundo List For The Master League
Due to HP rounding mechanics, some Pokémon have identical stats at certain levels when comparing 15/15/15 and 15/15/14 IV spreads (Attack / Defense / HP). In these cases, a Pokémon with 15/15/14 IVs performs identically to a perfect 15/15/15 Pokémon.
Some notable examples include:
- Zacian (Crowned Sword)
- Zamazenta (Crowned Shield)
- Dialga
- Origin Forme Dialga
- Kyogre
- Groudon
- Reshiram

The Master League meta is significantly more centralized than the Great League or Ultra League, with a much smaller pool of viable Pokémon.
As a result, players tend to encounter the same top-tier Pokémon and team compositions far more frequently.
